During the visit in March 2019, Mr Conteh, Kailahun’s Director of Education, made an assessment of the Academy’s performance.  He concluded that “the School is running really well and all teachers and students are engaged” – very encouraging news indeed.

Part of the reason for this success is that the classes are only 45% full, giving a very good teacher to student ratio.  However, this means that further cash is badly needed to make up the shortfall in funding.  So please think about how you, your friends and family can raise some money for KIK, or contact us about your ideas for KIK fund-raising events.  Simply making an extra donation would be very welcome, though more child sponsors would really help us to fill the classes and continue the rapid progress that has been achieved so far.
